Opera in the Heights announces a unique collaboration between Opera in the Heights and Talento Bilingue de Houston (TBH). Together they are presenting Passion: Zarcuelas + Boleros!, three impassioned musical evenings of classical Zarzuelas and scintillating Boleros, interpreted by a cast of gifted singers and musicians!
Be transported by nostalgic selections from Spain, Puerto Rico, and other countries. The Spanish Consulate has joined in lending its support for this exciting venture.
The drama, joy, and romance of popular Zarzuelas (Spanish language operettas) will be presented in concert with English surtitles. Both Oh! and TBH theaters seat 250-300, and both are perfect for providing intimate musical experiences.

Be adventurous and explore Houston's up and coming Eastside when you attend a performance at TBH. Located at 333 S. Jensen Dr., near the corner of Navigation and Jensen, it's barely 5 minutes from the original Mama Ninfa's Restaurant at 2704 Navigation (713-228-1175). Include dinner there and you will have all the ingredients for a memorable evening!
DON'T FORGET Friday's performance is at Lambert Hall, 1703 Heights Blvd. at 17th Street. Our last Zarzuela concert several years ago sold out. Be sure to get your tickets early.
Opera in the Heights, a professional regional opera company, exists to provide a stage for emerging performers and to bring affordable opera to the greater Houston area.
