    The Jewish Community Center of Houston Deutser Art Gallery presents the exhibition Showcase Houston:  Days of Awe, a multi-media exhibit of works on paper, fabric, and needlepoint.  On view August 22 through October 1.

    Showcase Houston:  Days of Awe shines a light on the High Holy Days with original works by ten Houston artists.  Artists featured are Bonnie S. Bleiweiss, Orna Feinstein, Joyce Gilbert, Aileen Gugenheim, Rona Lesser, Judy Mellon, Sara Norris, Ellen Orseck, Deborah Raichman, Diana Rinkoff, Barbara Winthrop Rose, and Yocheved Stock.

    Meet the Artists Reception:  Sunday, September 12 at 11am.  (Come early at 10am to exploer the High Holy Days, a three-part discussion with Rabbis Barry Gelman, Robert Hass, and Steven Morgen of fundamental Yom Kippur themes and the role they play in our personal development.  Free and open to the public.

    The Deutser Art Gallery season is funded in part by the JCC Patrons of the Arts.
