A Tuna Christmas returns to Galveston’s Grand 1894 Opera House, December 14-19 and January 4-9. The citizens of Tuna, Texas are back - and just in time for the holiday season! Join the Tuna characters as they attempt to cope with the traumas and dramas of the holidays!

Seasons Greetings from A TUNA CHRISTMAS, the hilarious sequel to the hit comedy, Greater Tuna, starring Tony Award-nominated Joe Sears and Jaston Williams. Master comedians Sears and Williams, with their deft comedic timing, trademark characterizations and split-second costume changes, portray all 24 citizens of Tuna, the third smallest town in Texas, where the Lion’s Club is too liberal and Patsy Cline never dies!

This time, its 24 hours before Christmas and the delightfully eccentric characters are attempting to cope with seasonal traumas such as a disaster prone little theatre production of A Christmas Carol, and a yard-decorating contest being sabotaged by a mysterious Christmas phantom.

Now you can forget the traditional feast of ham, turkey, cranberry sauce and mince meat pie because again this year, Tuna will be the “feast of choice.” Possibly best described as a “longhorn version of ‘A Night Before Christmas’,” A Tuna Christmas brings back to The Grand those beloved Texans: Didi Snavely (who runs the used gun shop); her husband, R.R. (who sees UFO’s as his rescue from marriage); Aunt Pearl (who poisons poodles trespassing on her yard); and all their neighbors. They are all on a rampage because a “phantom” is destroying holiday displays before the annual prizes are awarded, they’re battling a bad economy, and a local production of “A Christmas Carol” is endangered by bad actors and a Scrooge-ish electric company.

You won’t want to miss master comedians and original cast members Jaston Williams and Tony Award- nominee Joe Sears as they portray all 24 denizens of Texas’ third smallest town where the “Lion’s Club is too liberal and Patsy Cline never dies.”
