The Grand 1894 Opera House presents Childsplay Theatre: Ferdinand the Bull, Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 10am and a NEW! Evening performance Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at 7pm. Adapted from the Munro Leaf classic "The Story of Ferdinand," this Spanish-infused gem celebrates individuality as Ferdinand refuses to go along with the crowd.

Childsplay is happy to announce its third national tour with Ferdinand the Bull, adapted from the beloved story by Munro Leaf. Play and Lyrics by Karen Zacarias, Music by Deborah Wicks La Puma. Ferdinand the Bull was first produced by the company in the 2008-2009 season.

Meet Ferdinand, an unusual bull who prefers picking flowers to joining the bullfighters in the ring, and Danilo, a young nobleman whose father Duque Dodo has big dreams for him. Watch what happens when Danilo, the reluctant matador, meets Ferdinand in the bullring.

You’ll cheer for them as they refuse to go along with the crowd and strike a blow for individuality and the celebration of our differences.
