It's McGonigel's Mucky Duck Songwriters NIGHT!

    SHAKE RUSSELL
Weaving sophisticated harmonies through his songs and drawing from various genres, Shake created a style of folk-rock that is uniquely his own.

His repertoire consists of a blend of love songs, ballads, and waltzes, skillfully balanced with lively rockabilly tunes and soulful rhythm and blues pieces. His lyrics are imbued with beautiful imagery, catchy phrases, and inventive similes and metaphors.

But it is the rich, melodious voice of Shake Russell that breathes life and spirit into the lyrics. For more than three decades, Texas singer-songwriter Shake Russell has been entertaining audiences throughout the region with his unique, Americana style of folk-rock. A prolific songwriter, Shake has written or co-written hundreds of melodies.

Through the years, Shake’s songs and albums have frequented the Billboard charts, with many, including “Deep in the West,” “You’ve Got a Lover,” “Put Yourself in My Shoes,” “One More Payment,” and “Our Kind of Love” being recorded by such distinguished artists as Waylon Jennings, Jessi Colter, Ricky Skaggs, Clint Black, and Carolyn Dawn Johnson. DANNY EVERITT
Danny was nominated Texas Music Awards Singer/Songwriter of the Year 2009. Whether he’s performing his own material, or you’re hearing it recorded by other artists, you can tell immediately that Danny does more than pen great songs. His are spirited, rhythmic, funny and warm expressions of a Texas troubadour.

Singer/songwriter Danny Everitt began his professional musical journey in the Austin, Texas nightclub scene in the 1970's. While attending The University, he formed a band and signed a recording contract with Pompeii Records out of Dallas. After graduating with a degree in Radio-TV-Film he moved to Nashville where he became a staff songwriter and began traveling the U.S. as a solo performer for Buddy Lee Attractions. Touring in Texas, Danny met an old friend from school who set up an audition at a folk club in Houston. A growing live music scene there captured his imagination. So he returned to his home state and enjoyed a very successful reputation as a songwriter and performer in the Montrose district deep in the heart of the city.

    MICHAEL MARCOULIER
Michael Marcoullier is no stranger to the Houston music scene from back in the day when Michael, John Vandiver, Shake Russell and Dana Cooper ruled Texas music stages.
