The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston presents OKTOBERFEST AT THE MFAH:  Opening Day Celebration for German Impressionists, Sunday, September 12, 1:00 — 4:00 p.m. The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Audrey Jones Beck Building, 5601 Main Street.

OOMPAH! The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, will celebrate the opening of the German Impressionist exhibitions German Impressionist Landscape Painting: Liebermann—Corinth—Slevogt and Drawing from Nature: Landscapes by Liebermann, Corinth, and Slevogt with an Oktoberfest Street Festival.

Enjoy complimentary beer and root beer samplings from Saint Arnold Brewery, Bavarian-style soft pretzels provided by Slow Dough Bread Co., samples of German wine and food, coffee by Java Pura Coffee Roasters, festive German music, German folk dancing by Die Lustige Tänzer, art-making projects, an appearance from Sunny 99.1 FM, and more.

Admission to the museum is just $7 for adults; $3.50 for seniors (65+) and children (6-18); and free for MFAH members and children 5 and younger. Oktoberfest activities on the covered drive in front of the Beck Building are free to the public.
