    The Jewish Community Center of Houston Symposium: Lifelong Learning Institute presents Our Texas Medical Center: How it Evolved, Where It Is, and Where It's Going.  Wednesdays, Oct. 6, 13, 20 & 27, 10:00 - 11:00 AM.

    The Texas Medical Center was established in 1945 and is the largest medical center in the world with one of the highest densities of clinical facilities for patient care, basic science and translational research. The TMC includes 47 not-for-profit medicine-related institutions including 13 hospitals and two specialty institutions, two medical schools, four nursing schools and schools of dentistry, public health, pharmacy and other health-related practices.

    The entire area is bigger than Downtown Dallas.

    Instructors:  Dr. Richard Wainerdi, Jorge Franz, David Lopez, John T McDevitt.
