Fetch your sneakers and your furry friend for the 2011 Houston SPCA Mutt Strut and Runway Race, presented by Houston Airport System and sponsored by VCA Animal Hospitals.

This is your opportunity to strut your stuff with your mutt on the runway at George Bush Intercontinental Airport on Saturday, March 5, 2011. Join us for the 5K Runway Race or a One-Mile Mutt Strut. A minimum donation of $10 is required to participate. Day of event registration is $25. Win GREAT prizes by raising $25 or more in pledges to help give Houston’s homeless, abused and neglected animals a second chance at life.

This life-saving event raises much needed funds to help the Houston SPCA care for Houston’s homeless, neglected and abused animals. The Houston SPCA proudly places 100% of our healthy behaviorally sound puppies, kittens, dogs and cats into loving, life-long new homes.

Our highly trained team of cruelty investigators investigated over 15,000 cases of animal cruelty, abuse and neglect last year and we are the ONLY agency that provides an injured animal ambulance and rescue service 24 hours a day every day of the year.

Every step you take in the 2011 Houston SPCA Mutt Strut and Runway Race brings an animal in need that much closer to finding a safe haven and a loving new home.

Parking: The airport has over 25,000 parking spaces and parking rates that are among the lowest anywhere in the country. In 2001, we added an additional 5,600 spaces with our new Terminal A/B Garage situated between terminals A and B. In 2005, with the addition of Terminal E a new garage with 2,500 more spaces was added. Terminal C covered parking is also available. All vehicles entering the A/B and Terminal C garages will be searched by security personnel.

The Houston Airport System also operates Parking Cents, the city's economy lot, which provides parking at the corner of Greens Road and John F. Kennedy Blvd., with free shuttle service to the terminals. In addition to our Parking Cents lot, there are also a number of Off-Airport parking facilities with courtesy shuttles that travelers can choose from.
