On Your Feet and In Your Face.  KarinaPMB/PMBCreative presents The Amazing Living Theatre, Friday-Saturday, October 22-23 at Freneticore Theater.

In the aftermath of a horrendous tsunami of crude oil, society is shattered and the art and history of theater are lost to the ages. Those who wish to practice the now-illegal art form are forced underground, where they live in constant fear of discovery. To secure their traveling expenses, the outcasts operate illegal freak shows that reveal secrets of the now forbidden craft in the back alleys and crumbling theatrical venues of a post-apocalyptic Houston of 2020.

Audience members move through the traveling spectacle and are even invited to take part in the action. Casual dress is advised as audience members must walk through the exhibits and may even be forced to duck for cover in times of danger.

Karina Pal Montaño-Bowers is a recipient of an Individual Artist Grant Award. This grant is funded by the City of Houston through the Houston Arts Alliance. “Amazing Living Theater” performers, designers and contributors include Paul Locklear, Noel Bowers, Mark Carrier, Amy Bruce, Bobbi Jo Davis, Stephanie Saint Sanchez, Rodney Davis (RDFacts Design), Julie Boneau, Joe Boneau, and Kelly Switzer.
