The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston presents their December Artful Thursday:  Peace on Earth: Annual Ornament-Making Extravaganza, December 9, 2010 at 6:30 PM, at the Caroline Wiess Law Building.

Peace on Earth is the theme of this year´s Artful Thursday Ornament-Making Extravaganza—an artist-led workshop especially for Adults. Create your own dove of peace inspired by great treasures of world art. Handmade ornaments are fabulous, one-of-a-kind gifts. Make one for a friend, and of course, one for yourself!

To encourage the artist within you, the Gulf Coast Harpers fill the air with festive sounds. Sample ornaments to spark your creativity, easy-to-follow directions, all materials, and light refreshments are provided.

The workshop is on-going from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Come early! Seating is limited. Admission is free and open to the public. Register to win great giveaways from KUHF 88.7 FM and the MFAH.

Artful Thursday programs receive generous funding from the Rockwell Fund. Promotional support is generously provided by KUHF 88.7 FM, Houston Public Radio.

Refreshments generously provided by the Buffalo Speedway Starbucks (corner of Buffalo Speedway and Westpark), Carla Everett, manager, and the Rice Village Starbucks, Jenna Ortiz, manager.
