    CONTEXT, a Houston-based chamber-music ensemble, presents Brahms: The Complete Piano Trios and Quartets on Original Instruments (Part I), Sunday, October 24 at 4pm in Rice University-Duncan Recital Hall.

    Brahms' First Trio and Third Quartet are among his earliest works--and also among his latest works! Confused? The beloved B Major Trio was composed in 1854, but then extensively revised in 1889, near the end of Brahms' life. The C Major Quartet was begun in 1855 when he was 22--but finished twenty years later.

    Featuring:  Sergiu Luca, violin; Joan DerHovsepian, viola; Jean-Michel Fonteneau, cello; Brian Connelly, piano.
