Houston Dance Theatre presents their 28th Annual elaborate full length production of the Nutcracker Ballet on Thanksgiving Weekend. Performances will be held at the Geiger Performing Arts Center. This state of the art theater is located on the Westfield High School campus, 16713 Ella Boulevard.

Professional Russian Guest Artists are: Marina Goshko, Andrey Prikhodko, and Evgeny Lushkin who join the company of 100 talented dancers from across the Houston area. Join us for The Gift of the Nutcracker!

Houston Dance Theatre is a non-profit, tax exempt dance company geared for serious young dancers in our Houston Community. H.D.T. presents a full-length production of The Nutcracker annually. The company’s repertory also includes Firebird, Cinderella, Coppelia, La Bayadere, Sleeping Beauty, Gaîté Parisienne and many outstanding and original choreographic works.

H.D.T. continues to bring in professional guest artists, choreographers, and teachers to enhance the level of the dancers’ performing experience. Auditions are open to dancers who have a commitment to perform. Our talented dancers have the opportunity to audition for professional ballet summer workshops. Their acceptance and attendance to these programs demonstrates the high level of training they have received. Many college scholarships and professional contracts have been offered as a result of these contacts.
