Green's first feature length film Gravity Was Everywhere Back Then was shot entirely on the full-scale town he built in his backyard, and combines animation, stop-motion and live-action filmmaking with his homemade sculptures and props.

Brent Green is a self-taught animator and artist who lives and works in a barn in Cressona, PA. His work has been regular featured at Sundance, and received acclaim at the Hammer Museum, Wexner Center for the Arts, Walker Art Center, and Getty Museum of Art. Gravity premiered at the IFC Center in New York in early May 2010; other screenings and exhibitions in 2010 include MoMA, New York; SITE Santa Fe Biennial; Diverse Works, Houston; and Arizona State University Art Museum. Brent Green is a 2005 Creative Capital grant recipient. Green's work has been written about in The New York Times, ArtNews, Artforum, Village Voice, Art in America, Filmmaker Magazine, Animation World Magazine, The New Yorker and Bomb Magazine. Green's artwork is represented by the Andrew Edlin Gallery in New York City.

As part of this year's Cinema Arts Houston Festival, Gravity Was Everywhere Back Then will be presented in collaboration with the Aurora Picture Show with a Live Score provided by Brent Green and Donna K., accompanied by Brooklyn band, The Quavers with Brent Canty (Fugazi) and John Michael Swartz on Friday, November 12 at 9:45pm and Saturday November 13 at 8pm.
