    Architecture Center Houston (ArCH) presents a Museum District Walking Tour, Saturday, February 19 at 10am.  Meet at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston - Sculpture Garden.

    The Houston Museum District is one of the few areas in the country with such a dense population of museums, public art, contemporary architecture, and landscape design. On this 2-hour walking tour you will experience the quintessential Modernism of Mies van der Rohe, the structuralist view point of Gunnar Birkert, and the simplicity and craft of Isamu Noguchi.

    Come explore these and other world class examples of design with ArCH tour guides and trace the chronology of significant cultural shifts from the early twentieth century through today.

    Architecture Center Houston (ArCH) houses offices of the American Institute of Architecture, Houston Chapter, the Architecture Center Houston Foundation, a gallery for rotating architecture-related exhibitions, meeting rooms, and a terrace overlooking Buffalo Bayou.     Tour Registration for Non-Members $20.00

    Reservations are not required but appreciated.  Cash/check only at the door. Credit card purchases must be in advance. Call 713.520.0155 for tickets.

    Parking:

    Museum Parking Garage
    Located directly east of the Beck and Law buildings, the MFAH Visitors Center features a four-story covered parking garage.

    The easy-to-find parking entrance is on Binz, marked by a large, yellow arrow.

    You're always protected from the elements when you park your car in the Museum Garage. From there, you can go to the Visitors Center lobby and find a ticketing desk and up-to-the minute museum information.

    As an added convenience, you can enter the Beck and Law buildings from the Visitors Center through security-monitored, climate-controlled tunnels connecting all three buildings.

    Daily cost is $3.

    Outdoor Parking Lots
    Free parking is available in two outdoor street-level lots north of the Law Building along Main Street: one at Bissonnet, one at Oakdale.
