The Grand 1894 Opera House and City Ballet of Houston present the annual Nutcracker Afternoon Tea. This year’s Nutcracker Afternoon Tea – an annual holiday treat – is set for Saturday, December 11th at 1pm. Sponsored by The Grand 1894 Opera House, this delightful and fun event will again feature scrumptious tea-time fare such as finger sandwiches, cookies, punch, and of course…tea. Co-chairs for this year’s festivities are Margo Markowitz and Mary Ann Salch.

Highlights of this popular tradition at The Grand will be appearances by the Sugar Plum Fairy as well as other dancers from City Ballet of Houston’s presentation of The Nutcracker. Mothers and accompanying adults will certainly want to bring their camera to take photos of their little ones as they pose with these colorful characters. Seating, available at two venues - Rudy & Paco’s and Edna’s Room at The Grand, is very limited with only 140 reservations accepted.

Tickets are $30 for adults and $25 for children under 10.
