    Da Camera of Houston and the Jewish Community Center of Houston present Celebrating Benny Goodman,  Friday, December 3 at 1pm, at the Jewish Community Center, 5601 Braeswood. Free and open to the public. Featuring Anat Cohen, (pictured) clarinet and Harry Sheppard, vibraphone.

    Da Camera of Houston and the Jewish Community Center of Houston present Celebrating Benny Goodman,  Friday, December 3 at 1pm, at the Jewish Community Center, 5601 Braeswood. Free and open to the public. Featuring Anat Cohen, (pictured) clarinet and Harry Sheppard, vibraphone.

    Jazz clarinetist Anat Cohen, whose most recent cd is a tribute to Benny Goodman, is joined by Goodman band alum and local jazz legend Harry Sheppard for a celebration of "The King of Swing."

    A local mainstay since he moved to Houston in 1985, octogenarian Harry Sheppard is a seasoned vibraphonist whose long list of credits includes backing big jazz giants such as Billie Holiday and Benny Goodman.A Jazz Journalists Association Up and Coming Musician of the Year, Anat Cohen has established herself as one of the primary voices of her generation.

    And don't miss Anat Cohen Quartet Clarinetworks: Benny Goodman and Beyond, Saturday, December 4, 2010; at 8:00 PM, in the Cullen Theater, Wortham Theater Center.
