The Jewish Community Center of Houston will be the place to be to celebrate everything Hanukkah on Sunday, December 5 with Hanukkah Miracle Madness starting at 4:00.

The celebration kicks off with the Houston premiere of Shalom Sesame's Chanukah: The Missing Menorah. The Jewish Community Center of Houston is joining JCC’s across the continent for the first communal viewing of the new Shalom Sesame Hanukkah DVD. The program is free to the entire community. Everyone is invited for a Chanukah snack and arts and crafts after the show. If possible, please bring a new, unwrapped gift to donate to Houston families in need.

The Festival of Lights celebration continues at 5:00 p.m. when America's favorite dunk team, Acrodunk, performs live at the Jewish Community Center. The Houston based group, has been seen on America's Got Talent and performs around the world surprising audiences with their mix of acrobatics and basketball. Here is your opportunity to get up-close to meet the athletes and see them jump through the air and slam-dunk a b-ball in the JCC gym.

Following the shows, the JCC will light the chanukkiah (menorah) and begin the celebration of Hanukkah's fifth night. Tickets are $7 for JCC members and $8 for the public per person, however, families can purchase reduced price tickets. The maximum cost for a JCC family is $21 and the maximum cost for a family that is not JCC members is $25.
