    The Rothko Chapel presents Gaza in Crisis, Ilan Pappé, Israeli Historian, Thursday, December 9, 7pm.

    Israeli historian Ilan Pappé, author with Noam Chomsky of the newly-released book Gaza in Crisis: Reflections on Israel’s War Against the Palestinians, will speak at the Rothko Chapel on Thursday, December 9 at 7pm.

    Born in Haifa, Israel to German-Jewish parents who fled Nazi persecution, Pappé is professor of history at the University of Exeter, where he is also co-director of the Exeter Center for Ethno-Political Studies and director of the Palestine Studies Center. He is the author of the bestselling books The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine, A History of Modern Palestine, and The Israel/Palestine Question.

    Journalist John Pilger has called him “Israel’s bravest, most principled, most incisive historian.”

    Parking is available along the street or in the St. Thomas Parking Garage on the corner of West Alabama and Graustark for $2.00.
