SPECIAL EVENTS

Every third Wednesday of the month at the Artist SPEAKeasy, Spacetaker hosts artists from varying disciplines (visual, performing, literary, etc.) to present, in an informal atmosphere, creative dialogs/talks/presentations about their work followed by a question and answer session where the audience can glean further insight into the artist, the artist's aesthetic and creative process.

The evening is designed not only to bring together artists and those who appreciate the arts, but also to introduce local artists to each other to encourage conversation and cross-disciplinary collaboration between artists and their chosen media. Drinks and nosh are served at 6:30; formal talks are underway at 7:00. Guests are invited to come and go as necessary.

December's Artist SPEAKeasy features Robert Thoth and Rebecca French of FrenetiCore and Sasha Dela of Skydive Art Space.

About FrenetiCore:

FrenetiCore, Houston's only multi-media dance troupe, will show a sampling of their dance on film work. FrenetiCore's directors, Robert Thoth and Rebecca French, will discuss their collaborative process and their upcoming show 'War of the Worlds'.

About Skydive Art Space:
SKYDIVE is an artist run exhibition venue unique to Houston. Its mission is to broaden the spectrum of the dialogue in Houston by bringing in artists from outside of Texas. The aim of SKYDIVE is to host a range of art practices that push the limits of their material forms, including non-traditional methods of sculpture, installation, video, performance, and works that engage the viewer through participation, as well as text and web-based projects.
