A Note from Flamenco Poets Society:

    "Dear Poetry and Flamenco Aficionados,

I am pleased to announce that the Flamenco Poets Society has received a grant from Poets & Writers Inc. to provide stipends for local artists interested in storytelling & poetry. One of the visions of the Society is to serve a culturally diverse audience with free events for the general public, so we are grateful for their assistance to provide an opportunity for talented artists to share their stories.

This year, Mrs. Jere Pfister, who teaches (Communications 1303) Storyteller class at the University of Houston Downtown was asked to nominate students for the project. Mrs. Pfister is a storyteller, published writer and teacher. The students selected for our storytelling event are: Alvin Clarke, Jayson Guest & Paul Gonzales. The criteria for the selection of the students was their passion, curiosity, and feelings to tell their own unique personal stories. Storyteller Larry Russell will also join the event as our Grand Storyteller.

We need you support by attending this event. You are welcome to bring friends & dear ones to our storytelling program. For details call Julietta at 713-520-9364."
