DiverseWorks and Aurora Picture Show partner to present a new exhibition in Flickerlounge, a season-long cinematic experience curated by Aurora Picture Show at DiverseWorks Art Space.

On view January 14 through February 26, Flickerlounge presents Playing with Parody.

The DiverseWorks main gallery exhibition, Parody of Light by Patricia Hernandez appropriates, imitates and critiques the artistic creations and professional practices of Thomas Kinkade. Aurora expands this idea with videos that parody art, media and religion through ironic viewpoints about television personalities and notions of success.

The films include Embrace of the Irrational by Jonn Herschend, Frog Jesus by Ben Peters and The Art of Painting #3 by Lily Sparks.
