Join the Houston Met Dance Company for an evening of compelling movement, music and video with 15 Two-Part InterACTIONs on Friday, January 21 and Saturday, January 22, 2011 the at 7:30PM at Barnevelder Movement/Arts Complex.

With human interaction as the subject of an intimate evening of new choreography Houston Metropolitan Dance Company (Houston Met Dance) continues the celebration of their 15th Anniversary Season by presenting 15 Two-Part InterACTIONs. Houston Met Dance Resident Choreographer Kiki Lucas and jhon r. stronks present individually and collaboratively choreographed works.

Additionally, video media artist Ben Doyle will present a special interactive “gallery experience” during intermission.

Houston Metropolitan Dance Company is funded in part by grants from the Houston Endowment Inc., The City of Houston through the Houston Arts Alliance, the Texas Commission on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.

Founded in 1995, Houston Metropolitan Dance Company, familiarly known as "Houston Met Dance", embraces a comprehensive dance style that fuses the dance idioms of contemporary dance, jazz, tap and ballet. The company is committed to commissioning new work by internationally renowned and emerging choreographers as well as nurturing the creative talent from within the company.

Tickets are available on-line for $15 via the Houston Met Dance website or for $20 per person the evening of the performances.

On days when there are Astros games or other big events, parking on the street outside of the theater is often prohibited (and you will be towed). There are the $5 lots you can use or you'll have to walk a lot further to get free or cheaper parking.
