The Texas Repertory Theatre Co., Houston’s Uptown Classic Theatre, will produce another widely hailed classic of the American theatre, William Inge’s heartfelt comedy Bus Stop. Opening on January 28th and running 4 performances a week until February 20th, The Texas Repertory production of Bus Stop will continue a tradition of reviving classic plays from the American theatre canon.

An uproarious comedy that also sparkles with warm-hearted compassion, Bus Stop is the endearing story of Cherie, a small-time nightclub chanteuse, and her cowboy-turned-kidnapper beau, with his own ranch and the romantic methods of an unusually headstrong bull!

Trapped in a howling snow storm, the passengers are going to have to hole up until morning…just enough for the complications to grow insurmountable! In the end, this heartwarming classic is both truly hilarious and wonderfully touching. The Texas Repertory production features a cast of Houston theatre notables, all under the direc ion of Associate Artistic Director Steven Fenley.
