    FAMILY FUN IN DECEMBER AT THE MFAH! Each Sunday offers a new opportunity to explore the theme of How Artists Get Their Ideas.

    At Creation Station, families can create a print and weave with ribbons and paper strips to create their own work of art. Sketching in the Galleries...

    FAMILY FUN IN DECEMBER AT THE MFAH! Each Sunday offers a new opportunity to explore the theme of How Artists Get Their Ideas.

    At Creation Station, families can create a print and weave with ribbons and paper strips to create their own work of art. Sketching in the Galleries takes visitors into a display of prints and drawings and the African art gallery. Gallery Investigations offers opportunities to explore the lithography printing process and the kente cloth tradition in Ghana, Africa. Sunday Storytime will feature the books Madeline and Anansi the Spider: A Tale from the Ashanti

    Take an "Art Break" during Winter Break Week: You´ll have three opportunities to take an "art break" with Sketching in the Galleries programs Dec. 28, 29, and 30. Each day will be in a different location, and all materials are provided!

    Tickets:

    All programs and resources are free with admission at the MFAH. Admission is free every Thursday. Every Saturday and Sunday, admission is free for ages 18 and under with a Houston Public Library PowerCard or a Harris County Public Library card.

    $7.00 adults
    $3.50 seniors/children 5-18

    Parking:

    Museum Parking Garage

    Located directly east of the Beck and Law buildings, the MFAH Visitors Center features a four-story covered parking garage.

    The easy-to-find parking entrance is on Binz, marked by a large, yellow arrow.

    You're always protected from the elements when you park your car in the Museum Garage. From there, you can go to the Visitors Center lobby and find a ticketing desk and up-to-the minute museum information.

    As an added convenience, you can enter the Beck and Law buildings from the Visitors Center through security-monitored, climate-controlled tunnels connecting all three buildings.
