    Aralee Dorough, flute

    Maestro Frühbeck de Burgos conducts all over the world, but in America gives five weeks a year to the Boston Symphony (in Boston and Tanglewood) and regularly visits the New York Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony, Philadelphia Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, National Symphony in Washington D.C., Detroit Symphony, Pittsburgh Symphony, Toronto Symphony, and Montreal Symphony.

    Aralee Dorough, (pictured above) principal flute, grew up in a musical family and began studying flute at age 9. She received her undergraduate degree from Oberlin Conservatory of Music in Ohio and then went on to continue her studies at the Yale School of Music. Aralee won the position of second flute with the Houston Symphony in 1985 and was awarded the principal position six years later in 1991. She has appeared as soloist with the symphony on numerous occasions and has played with the Houston Symphony Chamber Players and the Da Camera Society of Houston.
