The Houston Press presents the 3rd Annual Houston Press Artopia Presented by Stella Artois. Houston art enthusiasts and artists come together under one roof to experience culture, fashion, food, art and music.

Join us on Saturday, January 29th from 8pm – 11pm at Winter Street Studios (2101 Winter St.) as we celebrate Houston’s best artists, musicians, fashion designers, culinary masters and cocktail creators. Enjoy complimentary food, wine, cocktail and beer sampling. Artopia presented by Stella Artois is dedicated to highlighting Houston’s rich and diverse artists, musicians, fashion designers, culinary masters and cocktail creators.

Entertainment includes three musical performances, three fashion shows, and live performance art.  This year’s event will feature live musical performances by Grandfather Child, Lee Alexander Band and Peekaboo Theory. The performing art stage will include performances by Dominic Walsh Dance Theater, Houston Metropolitan Dance Company and Cuadro La Tempestad Flamenco.

Three fashion shows featuring Melodrama Boutique, JaJo Couture, and Coronation Vintage will be held during the event with models provided by the Neal Hamil Agency. Art from 25 local artists will be on display throughout the venue. Visual art will range from graffiti to abstract to pop. Pinot’s Palette will provide guests with an opportunity to create a collaborative art piece during the event.

Guests will also be able to enjoy light bites from local restaurants, including Last Concert Café, Phoenicia Specialty Foods, Ooh La La, The Counter, Jamaica House, Fadi’s Mediterranean Grill, Calliope’s Po-Boys and more.

The VIP area will feature an exclusive lounge provided by Total Furniture and art from War’Hous Visual Studios.

Don’t miss the special presentation of the 3rd annual Mastermind Awards Ceremony. Houston Press is pleased to present $6,000 in grants at the third annual MasterMind Awards ceremony. These awards are an acknowledgment of the area’s artists, innovators and entrepreneurs who change our creative and cultural landscape. The night of the event, three aesthetic adventurers will be awarded a grant of $2,000. Nominees are pioneers in fields including, but not limited to: visual arts, performance arts, film/video/media, literary arts and fashion/design.

General Admission: $40 donation. VIP tickets: $75 includes complimentary valet and access to exclusive VIP lounge. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Houston PBS.

After Party: Kobain will be hosting the official Artopia after party from 11 p.m. – 2:00 a.m the night of Artopia. The celebration will continue with a 2011 Artopia artist slideshow, performances by Soraya & La Zambra Belly Dance, Burlesque by Grace Truvant, drink specials and more!
