The Jung Center of Houston presents Jung after The Red Book.  In a lecture and seminar, Sonu Shamdasani, eminent scholar and editor of Jung's Red Book, explores the ways that this historic publication will change our understanding of Jung and his scholarly work.

With the publication of Liber Novus—Jung's Red Book—a new chapter opens in the reading of Jung's works. For the first time, one is in a position to grasp the constitution of his work from 1914 onwards, and to trace the intimate connections between his self experimentation and his attempt to determine the typical features of this process through his work with his patients, and translate his insights into a language acceptable to a medical and scientific public. Jung's personal cosmology and scholarly work can now be seen as two parts of a whole.

In this lecture and seminar, we will reflect upon the ways in which a reading of Liber Novus may lead to a new understanding of Jung's biography, practice and works.
