GEORGE DUCAS – OPEN ROAD AHEAD “The music I’m doing now I feel is much more open, the horizon is endless,” says George Ducas with a smile, running a hand through his thick dark hair. There is often a chasm between youthful ambition and a fully realized creative vision. It’s a distance some artists are never able to cross and for others it just takes a little more time to make that leap. “Now”, he says, “It’s like open road ahead and I love that. There’s a freedom that comes with experience that just makes you fearless.” Singer/songwriter George Ducas knows how to cross that bridge, fusing his passion, creativity, discipline and energy into an intoxicating brand of country music that is uniquely his own.

Ducas returns eager to hit the open road - and the airwaves- with new music. He first burst on the scene in the mid 90s, searing the charts with the top five hit “Lipstick Promises” and earning a reputation as one of the industry’s most distinctive young talents. In the interim, he’s been cranking out hits for other artists. His songs have been recorded by Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, Gary Allan, George Jones, Dixie Chicks, Randy Rogers Band, Radney Foster, the Eli Young Band and Sara Evans, who scored a No. 1 hit with Ducas’ “A Real Fine Place to Start.”

Ducas is back and he’s never sounded better. Always warm and expressive, his voice is even stronger, seasoned by time and infused with life experiences that make his performances even more textured and nuanced. The music has the same vibrant energy that first caught people’s attention during his Capitol era, but the sound and subject matter are even more expansive.
