The 8th Annual Houston Salsa Congress will Be Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend, January 13-16, 2011.

In the year 2000, the Houston Salsa Congress began as the first of its kind in the State of Texas. In collaboration with Albert Torres, the Houston Salsa Congress has grown to become one of the largest in TEXAS! If you are new to Houston or Texas, the Houston Salsa Congress is THE event you do NOT want to miss!

This year's Congress ...will be held in one central location. That means the workshops, performances, Texas Salsa Open, and social dancing will be in ONE place! Lasting for 4 days, dancers, musicians, vendors, performers and instructors meet and share their love of Latin music and dance.

An integral part of the Houston Salsa Congress is our annual scholarship program. Each year, students involved in the Houston Salsa community have an opportunity to apply for the Houston Salsa Congress Scholarship Program.

The Houston Salsa Congress includes:
