    Cynthia Woods Mitchell Center for the Arts presents the Choreographer and Composer Exchange, Friday, February 18, at 6pm.

    Join the UH Mitchell Center for the Choreographer & Composer Exchange, a panel discussion featuring guest panelists Jane Weiner of Hope Stone, composer and conductor Bill Ryan, violinist Todd Reynolds and Karen Stokes, Head of the Dance Division in the University of Houston School of Theatre & Dance and Associate Professor. Nancy Wozny is moderator for  this event.

    Answering the questions: what are the challenges of creating music and dance in tandem? What are the benefits? How do music and dance differ in the creative process? What can we learn from one another? How do music and dance working together expand possibilities in creativity?

    Choreographers and composers come together to discuss the creative process of collaboration in original music and dance projects.

    LOCATION: University of Houston, room 208 in the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Building.
    ADMISSION: Free

    The University of Houston Cynthia Woods Mitchell Center for the Arts cultivates interdisciplinary collaboration in the performing, visual and literary arts.     # Come to UH central campus and turn into Entrance 16 off Cullen Boulevard (if you are coming from I-45, it will be on your left, just past Elgin).

    # Walk across the street toward the UH campus.
    # The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Building is just across from Parking Lot 16, between the Moores School of Music and the Fine Arts Building
