    39th Annual Buffalo Bayou Regatta

    The Buffalo Bayou Partnership presents the 39th Annual Buffalo Bayou Regatta, 39 years of racing on Houston's Buffalo Bayou.  Saturday, March 12. The Challenge Continues! Texas' largest canoe and kayak race - a 15-mile stretch! The race starts at San Felipe and Voss and ends in downtown at Sesquicentennial Park, adjacent to the Wortham Theater Center.

    The Buffalo Bayou Partnership presents the 39th Annual Buffalo Bayou Regatta, 39 years of racing on Houston's Buffalo Bayou.  Saturday, March 12. The Challenge Continues! Texas' largest canoe and kayak race - a 15-mile stretch! The race starts at San Felipe and Voss and ends in downtown at Sesquicentennial Park, adjacent to the Wortham Theater Center.

    Houstonians (ages 12 and up) are encouraged to participate in the 15-mile USCA-sanctioned race along the scenic Buffalo Bayou, whether you are entering competitively, or paddling for pleasure, we encourage you to enter the Regatta. Those not wanting to paddle can catch the outdoor fun and cheer on the racers.

    Free finish line festivities at Sesquicentennial Park from 11am-2pm include live zydeco music, awards ceremony, food, drinks, and a chance to cheer on the racers as they cross the finish line!

    Live Zydeco Music with Curtis Poullard & the Creole Zydeco Band
    Houston Astros speed pitch inflatable
    Houston Dynamo inflatable goal kick
    Food and drinks available to purchase
    A chance to cheer on the racers as they cross the finish line!

    Awards Ceremony

    Bonus for all Regatta Participants
    All Regatta participants will have a much anticipated water or St. Arnold's beer waiting for them after they cross the finish line, as well as a chance to win raffle prizes including, a Kayak Donated by Austin Canoe & Kayak, a weekend package from The Houstonian Spa and Resort, the San Luis Resort and Spa, and much more!

    Finish: Sesquicentennial Park (Preston at Bagby Street)

    Buffalo Bayou Partnership is the non-profit organization revitalizing and transforming Buffalo Bayou, Houston's most significant natural resource.

    Tickets:

    The Regatta is free to anyone wanting to watch.

    Entry fee per person is $40 or $45 after March 1
    $25 per person with student or military i.d.

    Please note: New rules for day-of registration - those signing up the day of the race will receive all benefits of Regatta participants (t-shirt, lunch, raffle entry); however, they will NOT be included in the official timekeeping of the race, and will not be eligible for awards, and will start 5 minutes after the last start of the race

    Zydeco music, food and drinks available for purchase

    Maximum rate - $9 per day
    Lost ticket - $9 per day
