Following her 2010 release Angels That Promise the Stars, psychedelic bluegrass fiddler Hilary Sloan assembles members of the I am Mesmer collective, Sideshow Tramps and alternative bellydancer ms. YET for a weekly performance at Avant Garden. Incorporating bluegrass favorites, I am Mesmer standards, original songs, gypsy movements, and a whole lot of sexy, Sloan fuses a lifetime of stage performance, improvisation and passion into a unique night of theater and music.

Sloan has collaborated with many of the premiere names in the alt-country and Houston music scenes. A small sampling of the list includes: Tyagaraja, Sideshow Tramps, The Umbrella Man, Ryan Scroggins & the Trenchtown Texans, Robert Ellis, Kelly Doyle, Jo Bird, Greg Wood, Animal Turner, and Johnny Falstaff. She has participated in festivals, concerts, and television and radio programs throughout the United States.
