Every Saturday from 9am-1pm, CITYCENTRE District will host an Eco-Farmers Market CITYCENTRE in its stylish central plaza. Featured vendors sell locally grown fruits and vegetables, plus a wide variety of other items including baked goods, meats and cheeses, plants and eco-friendly products.

Ruggles Green is on the Advisory Group and is helping to promote the market. Many of Ruggles Green local farmers are also attending this market as well. Federico Marques is the Market Manager but we are using Mickey Morales of Highland Village Farmers Market as a consultant. Mickey is also representing a local, free range chicken farmer.

We have several farms participating including Animal Farm, Bryan Farms, Hanka Farms, Lil Country Boy Farms, and others. We also have several Eco vendors like Pure Solar, Green Mountain Energy, Houston BioDiesel, Little Joy Recycling, etc. to showcase some "green" emerging technologies. We hope to showcase some of the emerging electric cars in the next few months as well.
