The University of Houston - School of Theatre & Dance presents Wild Oats by James McLure. Directed by Gus Kaikkonen. Running February 25 - March 6, 2011.

Welcome to The Last Chance Saloon in the old west town of Muleshoe, where Loftus Thunder has died in a cactus patch with a woman of easy virtue and a bottle of Jim Beam! As word spreads of his demise, long-lost family members are reunited, Pastor Ephraim’s scheming plans are derailed, two lusty traveling actors constantly quote Shakespeare, our whip-toting heroine finds love and the audience gets more than belly-shaking laughs!

Tether your horse to the outpost, grab your whiskey, put your cowboy boots up to rest and enjoy this rollicking good time of music hall girls, mistaken identities and flat-out country fun.

The closest parking lots are 16B and 16F. There is metered parking in the first row of lot 16B, and there is gated visitor's parking in lot 16F.

I-45 South
(downtown)
- exit Cullen
- turn right on Cullen
- cross Elgin Street
- turn left after UH Entrance 16 on a side street marked "theatre patrons drop off"
- the theatre will be the second building on the right
