    Nowhere Near Here: New Lens-based Work from Texas

    FotoFest and Houston Center for Photography (HCP),  two of the state’s premier photographic arts organizations, continue their ongoing collaboration with the exhibition Nowhere Near Here: New Lens-based Work from Texas, the fourth installment of the FotoFest series Talent in Texas and the second co-presented by FotoFest and HCP.

    FotoFest and Houston Center for Photography (HCP),  two of the state’s premier photographic arts organizations, continue their ongoing collaboration with the exhibition Nowhere Near Here: New Lens-based Work from Texas, the fourth installment of the FotoFest series Talent in Texas and the second co-presented by FotoFest and HCP.

    Featuring a diverse group of 14 artists from across the state, Nowhere Near Here is curated by two Houston-based curators from the internationally acclaimed Menil Collection - Toby Kamps, Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art and Michelle White, Associate Curator.

    The exhibition is split between the two exhibition spaces – FotoFest Headquarters Downtown and Houston Center for Photography in the Museum District. Nowhere Near Here opens at FotoFest Headquarters Thursday, March 10, 2011 6 - 9pm and at HCP the following evening, Friday, March 11, 2011 6 - 9pm.
