DANCE

Dance Houston is rounding up local Bay area dance companies to present a new dance festival on February 12, 2011 from 7:30-9:30 p.m. at University of Houston - Clear Lake's Bayou Theater. The Clear Lake Dance Festival will feature several companies in the area as well as some of the most popular Houston-area companies. The show will stay true to Dance Houston's wide-ranging festival aesthetic, featuring several styles of dance like hip hop, contemporary, cultural, and ballroom.

The festival will feature Dance Of Asian America, 8th Edition, and Revolve Dance Company alongside five outstanding Clear Lake companies, including Kennedy Dance Theatre and Bay Area Houston Ballet. The mission of this festival is to venture outside of the theater district to reach new fans with our signature brand of dynamic and entertaining dance concerts.

We respect and appreciate the many diverse cultures and aesthetics that thrive in and around the Houston area, and our work reflects our community through innovative, multi-cultural programming.
