The Guardian, UK, called An Inspector Calls "Spell-binding. Grabs you by the throat and won't let go." Mail on Sunday, UK, described the play as "Brilliantly constructed. A potent play for today. " J.B. Priestly's best known play continues to thrill audiences throughout the world, and Houston audiences can now experience it's power in person when it opens at A. D. Players.

All seems well for the Birling family until the mysterious Inspector Goole interrupts their daughter's engagement party to question them about the very recent death of a young woman nearby. Tensions mount as the inspector's questions reveal family secrets, and unexpected news sends the family - and the audience - reeling.

"An intriguing, clever piece of theatre that leaves you thinking about it long after the curtain call," said Official London Theatre. An Inspector Calls has been adapted several  times including the 1954 film and BBC miniseries in 1984. Most recently, the award winning 1992 Stephen Daldry production of the play was revived for the Royal National Theatre in 2009.

An Inspector Calls by J.B. Priestly and directed by Artistic Director and Founder Jeannette Clift George, begins Preview performances February 23, opens February 25 and runs through April 3.
