    This week's movie: School of Rock (2003, 110 min. PG-13). Slacker Jack Black poses as a substitute teacher who turns his fifth-grade students into a rockin’ band. Live music by Pin Oak Middle School students at 6:30 pm. Film at 7:30 pm.

    Dewey Finn is a hell-raising guitarist with delusions of grandeur. Kicked out of his band and desperate for work, Dewey impersonates a substitute teacher and turns a class of fifth grade high-achievers into high-voltage rock and rollers. The private school's uptight and skeptical head, Principal Mullins, watches on as the 'new sub' preps the kids for Battle of the Bands.

    Jack Black's exuberant, gleeful performance turns School of Rock into a hilarious, rocking good time.
