Discovery Green presents St. Joseph Medical Center’s Spring Break at Discovery Green, March 14 -18.

Looking for a way to keep the kids entertained this spring break? Discovery Green is your answer! During the week of March 14 – 18, the popular downtown destination will offer numerous kid-friendly performances and activities to keep the “spring breakers” busy and cheerful.

Celebrate the Dynamo's 2011 Season with Diesel, enjoy a performance by HGO To Go or be amazed by Cirque-inspired performers as they celebrate OVO by Cirque du Soleil! St. Joseph Medical Center, Houston’s first and only downtown medical center will also be on hand during the week to provide health screenings and information on services. The full service, general acute care hospital serves the Greater Houston community and is only six blocks away from Discovery Green.

Houston Dynamo Kick-Off Party, 10:30 am - 12:30 pm   Houston Dynamo Kick-Off Party! Come celebrate the Dynamo's 2011 Season with Diesel. There will be lots of fun & free activities and give-a-ways!

March 15
 Leah White and The Magic Mirrors, 10:30 am Leah White & The Magic Mirrors is certifiably cool with a Parent’s Choice Nickelodeon Award to prove it. This band is rocking a new genre of fun, interactive, educational tunes called “family music”, a style that gets everyone in the family shaking to the beat. Headed to the Zoo? You’ll hear their song “Beautiful Day”, now the official theme song of the Houston Zoo.

Cirque – inspired performers celebrate OVO by Cirque du Soleil! noon – 4 pm Cirque-inspired performers celebrate Cirque du Soleil’s Ovo! Noon – 4 pm. OVO by Cirque du Soleil is a headlong rush into a colorful ecosystem teeming with life, where insects work, eat, crawl, flutter, play, fight and look for love in a non-stop riot of energy and movement.
