Come join Houston's Business Volunteers for the Arts (BVA)® and CORE Performance Company for a reception and a sneek-peek of CORE's premiere dance production, The Point and The Moment Between, at Barnevelder Movement/Arts Complex - Thursday, March 10 at 6pm. Meet some of the BVA volunteers and learn more about the BVA program.

We will also take a sneek peek of CORE Performance Company's premiere of The Point and The Movement Between. The Point, choreographed by CORE Artistic Director Sue Schroeder, and The Moment Between, co-created by Schroeder and former CORE dancer and independent dance maker jhon r. stronks, is presented as part of CORE’s 30th Anniversary Season at the Barnevelder Movement/Arts Complex on Friday and Saturday, March 11-12, 2011.

Business Volunteer for the Arts® (BVA) is a pro bono consulting program for nonprofit arts that connects skilled business professionals with arts organizations in need of high-level business assistance. BVA is a national program under the leadership and coordination of the Arts & Business Council of Americans for the Arts. Since 1975, thousands of business professionals have shared their expertise in board development, strategic planning, and fundraising and talents on a wide range of consulting projects through BVA.

CORE is home to the internationally acclaimed CORE Performance Company known for its riveting, passionate and unique work. Made up of individual artists, the company performs new choreography that evolves through experimentation, improvisation, and collaborations with artists from different mediums.
