    Paris, 1870. Adultery ought to be serious busines.... but it's hard to keep your dignity when the cleaning lady has a fireman in your kitchen and she suspects that something is up. Not to mention the fact that your lover is not only stuck up a drainpipe, but is also your husband's best friend.

    In this lively transation of Labiche's classic farce, the conventionally adulterous life of a suburban couple falls apart in the chaos of crossed wires, slammed doors, double entendres and blackmailing cab drivers.

    A feast of finely tuned extra-marital mayhem from the master of French farce.

      After a slow start in Act I things pick up considerably in Acts II & III. Well-acted, and an amusing light-hearted event. Good venue, comfortable seats. Good but not great - just relax and enjoy...
