DiverseWorks is bringing Shopping Back! DiverseWorks ArtSpace presents the DiverseWorks 2011 Gala: RETAIL THERAPY.

Feeling blue? You need some Retail Therapy DiverseWorks style. Gala Co-Chairs Jared Lang and Cara Morales, the Host Committee and the Board of Directors of DiverseWorks ArtSpace invite you to join our exclusive shoppers on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. at The Shops at Houston Center, 1200 McKinney, 77010.

Shop till you drop at the Silent Auction and enjoy the munchies at an assortment of food court kiosks. Get ready to strike a pose on the DiverseWorks’ Red Carpet and receive an electronic photo as a memento of the evening. Want more love? How about an exclusive “Glamour Shot” by Frank White Photography? Show off your most fabulous retail finds, or channel your inner Valley Girl, 80s mall rat, super-charged mall walker or whatever vibe you want to bring to Retail Therapy. Dance off the munchies with the ultimate 1980s cover band Thunderpants. You’ll be stoked to know that your support will support DiverseWorks ingenious exhibits, performances, and programs.

DiverseWorks will honor Patrons Judy and Scott Nyquist for their fearless support of contemporary art. Former Board Member Jane Weiner, Artistic Director and Founder of Hope Stone Dance will present an excerpt of her acclaimed work, the Cooking Show, for gala guests.
