American Institute of Architects (AIA Houston)/Architecture Center Houston and the Houston Public Library present Authors in Architecture: Barbara White Bryson, Thursday, June 16 at 6 pm, at Architecture Center Houston,  315 Capitol, Suite 120.

Barbara White Bryson, co-author of The Owner’s Dilemma published in July 2010, will discuss this co-authored book regarding the owner’s role in the design and construction industry. “The design and construction industry is one of the most inefficient on the planet, wasting billions of dollars a year of public and private owners’ money. Architects, engineers, builders, and developers have struggled in this environment for years… it is owners who can impact the industry most deliberately and aggressively. Debuting in January 2009, Authors in Architecture is a collaboration between the Houston Public Library Downtown and the Architecture Center Houston (ArCH). Our aim is to create a dialogue between these two cultural centers and their patrons.
