After hosting their first season The Midnight Theatre Company will kick off season 2 with The Pillowman, directed by the company’s resident director, Richard Christopher Vara. The production is set to take place at Houston’s own Midtown Art Center May 27-29 and June 2-4, with Sunday’s matinee starting at 3 pm.

The Pillowman, written by Martin McDonagh, centers on gruesome and macabre author, Katurian, who is arrested by totalitarian state police detectives, Ariel and Tupolski, due to the violent nature of his stories that resemble recent murders in the area.

The show stars Nathan Henderson playing Kutarian, Carlo Magana in the role of Michal, Cedric Madison playing Ariel and third time returning actress Jasmine D.S.Torres playing Tupolski.

General admission tickets for The Pillowman will be $15 at the door, and may be purchased online at http://themidnighttheater.com/  for $12. All students (with a valid student ID) and senior citizens will receive a $5 discount at the door only.

Guests are also invited to marvel at this show’s featured artist, Taylem Stanley, making his artistic debut.
