Main Street Theater presents the regional premiere of  It’s Only Life, a new musical revue. Music and Lyrics by John Bucchino. Directed by Andrew Ruthven. Musical Direction by Miriam Daly.  Running June 3 - 19, 2011 (Preview June 2) at Ovations (2536 Times Blvd, next door to MST-Rice Village).

John Bucchino’s songs have been recorded and performed by Judy Collins, Patti LuPone, Yo-Yo Ma, Audra MacDonald, Liza Minnelli, Art Garfunkel and many others. It’s Only Life is a musical revue about longing, fulfillment, loss, triumph and ultimately wisdom.

According to the New York Times, Bucchino's 'flowing, finely made piano ballads describe an urban life in which relationships come and go in cycles of yearning, fulfillment, heartbreak and healing' - where romantic love is anticipated with 'high expectations, high anxiety and open hearts.'

The show won LA's 2008 Ovation Award for Best Book/Lyrics/Music for an Original Musical. With Christina Stroup (A Catered Affair), Jamie Geiger (A Catered Affair, The Light in the Piazza, The Last Night of Ballyhoo, Awake and Sing!), David Wald (A Catered Affair, The Heidi Chronicles, The Doctor’s Dilemma), Susan Draper (Tomfoolery, Ps and Qs: the ABCs of Manners), and newcomer Cole Ryden.
