Lorena Morales is a Texas-based artist who was born and raised in Venezuela. Daughter of a painter/gallery owner and an engineer, Lorena had the opportunity to develop her visual artistic talent under the guide of well known Venezuelan artists. She created an art school with her sisters and shared her art knowledge teaching children in her home town. She graduated in Business Administration from Rafael Urdaneta University in Venezuela. In 2003 Lorena relocated with her family to Houston where she continued her art studies at The Glassell School of Art of the MFAH. She got a certificate in painting from The Glassell School of Art in 2009. Lorena’s colorful and innovative artwork has been shown in numerous group exhibitions in Texas as well as in Venezuela. She has her artist studio at Artists’ Alliance in Sugar Land, Texas. She currently also exhibits at Canal Street Gallery in Houston, Texas and Art Nouveau Gallery in Venezuela.

Maria Mayor Sotura is a Spanish artist from the region of Asturias, Spain. She is primarily a self-taught painter, having majored in business at the school of commerce in her native town of Gijon, Spain. She has a dynamic body of work including etchings, oils, water colors, acrylics, and pastels. Her art has been exhibited in the Duran Gallery in Madrid and the Marques Duranga Gallery in Gijon. Recently, the Strake Jesuit Art Museum added one of her oil paintings to its permanent collection in Houston. Maria Mayor Sotura has sold to private collectors throughout Spain and the United States, and is presently preparing solo exhibits. Her current collection, Origenes, explores abstract expressionism through works of acrylic on paper and canvas.
