    The Pink Iftar Committee, Brigid’s Place and Christ Church Cathedral present the 2nd Annual Pink Iftar Dinner, another unique interfaith experience for non-Muslim women interested in learning about, celebrating and honoring Muslim women’s contributions to the arts, sciences, religious and academic scholarship, politics and everyday life. Thursday, August 18, 2011. Registration begins at 6:30 p.m.; Opening Remarks and Talk by Dr. Elora Shehabuddin begin at 7:15 p.m. at Christ Church Cathedral, 1117 Texas Avenue.

    Dr. Elora Shehabuddin of Rice University will open the program with a discussion about Islamic Faith and Feminism. Muslim women of diverse backgrounds will gather to welcome women from other faith traditions and lead a conversation about their life experiences and perspectives. Traditional Ramadan foods from around the world will be served along side engaging conversation.

    Tickets:

    Seating is limited. Tickets are $40 before August 1st and $45 after August 1st. A $3.50 processing fee will be charged for all online registrations. You may register online or we also accept cash, checks or money orders made payable to "Brigid's Place".

    FREE PARKING is available for Brigid's Place events at Christ Church Cathedral in the Cathedral Parking Garage at Texas and San Jacinto. During Business Hours, please bring your Parking Ticket so we can validate it for you!
