Talento Bilingüe de Houston (TBH Center), presents  Flor y Canto: Verde. TBH Center’s Flor y Canto Summer Camp: Verde gives young artists the tools, knowledge, and inspiration to incorporate sustainable practice into their own creative process.

Using a sustainable arts curriculum, Flor y Canto Summer Camp: Verde, emphasizes the importance of looking at behaviors and actions which help or harm the Earth. We welcome you to join TBH Center (Talento Bilingüe de Houston) for another year of enriching your children's lives through movement, music, theatre and art.

As participants, children will also have the opportunity to perform in a children's production/recital that will be presented at the end of the program.

    Ages: 6-12 years old

The main focus of the Program will be centered upon the environment using three worlds contained within our own: Mineral, Plant, and Animal. Campers will be provided educational opportunities using the modalities of Art, Music, and movement. Using a thread of ideas linked to each “world” young students become involved in a dialogue about things that occur parallel to our lives. These various stages of the progress will be documented and will be part of the exhibition at the end of the four week camp.

Verde Camp’s staff members consist of practicing visual, performing, and music artists who are passionate about the state of our environment and are excited to share this enthusiasm with the new generation of people who inherit the responsibility of caring for the Earth. This opportunity to engage with young minds is crucial to having the greatest impact not only in the lives of these children, but exponentially to their families.
