Calling all ghosts and goblins. It’s time for the 16th Annual Texas Heart Institute Great Pumpkin Fun Run! The Texas Heart Institute and BlueCross BlueShield of Texas present the 2011 Great Pumpkin Fun Run on Saturday, October 29, 8 a.m. at Hermann Square in Downtown Houston (Smith & Walker - across from Tranquility Park).

Fun for the entire family, participants can register for the 5K run or walk as well as a 1K children’s walk. Runners and walkers are encouraged to dress in their favorite Halloween costume. A costume contest will be held featuring the first 50 registered children ages infant to 5 years old.

Proceeds benefit the Texas Heart Institute at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital.
