    2011 American Festival for the Arts Summer Concert Series presents the AFA Middle School String Orchestras, Saturday, June 25, 2011, 11:00 am, at Pershing Middle School.

    AFA is proud to have two outstanding orchestras of 4th-8th grade string players, led by two of Houston's finest string educators. Please join the orchestras as they each perform works by Salieri, Mozart, and more. Penny Meitz and Ana Payne, conductors.

    American Festival for the Arts (AFA) was founded in 1993 by Houston composer J. Todd Frazier to provide accessible, high-quality music education and performance opportunities for youth and to broaden the audience for both new American works and the standard classical music repertory.
